Our Title 24 compliant 3" or 4" LED recessed fixture emits enough light to replace a standard 50 halogen MR16 bulb. We have used it very successfully in every room of the house. Not only does it proved wonderful task and general light, but the 15º gimbal (4" version) allows for excellent artwork light with no heat or UV rays affecting your pieces. The 3" version is a straight downlight.
Using 8 Nichia super bright diodes, this fixture draws a total of 10 watts. Beam spread is 60 degrees and color temperature is 2800k. It is dimmable from 100% down to 5%. CRI is 91.
We tested this side by side with an FNV MR16 (50 watt with a 60 degree beam spread). At an 8.5 foot ceiling height, this LED unit actually tested with virtually the same amount of foot candles as the halogen bulb.
